For the most part, YES!
Anything that adds more tactics and less brainless advantage to 'bigger' ships is the right way to go.
Battleships and up should be escorted ships, not a solopwnmobile. If the BS pilot doesn't want to be taken out by tacklers (frigs/ceptors) then he can fly a smaller class ship that can handle them or bring his own support/backup.
Otherwise, other than just another toy, what would be the point of any of the smaller class ships?

Yes it is isnt it? Just like how Amarrs optimal (bs) is outside scramble range.
But no, you think you are special that somehow you deserve to fit any ship the way YOU like it and be able to engage ANY enemy with less risk.
Stop trying to dumb down EVE further, the stacking penalties and hitpoint boost has done enough damage to this game.
The way I understand it, he's doing the exact opposite.
For those who don't understand this yet, YOU are not YOUR SHIP, your ship is a class of vessel to perform specific roles/functions. YOU CHOOSE to get in a certain ship to perform those specific functions, not to own all smaller classed ships.

All ships in game should be vulnerable to all classes. One on one? Of coarse not, that's utterly ridiculous. You're right, a frig should not be able to take out a BS, and wouldn't you know it, unless the BS pilot is a noob (and even taking NOS out of the equation) the frig will never be able to layout enough damage. The BS should not be able to do blow up the frig either, without support from other ships that are supposed to have that function as their role.
It should only take one frig to tackle any non-capital class ship. It does and should take several frigs to actually defeat a BS.
Larger ships, ideally BC and up should be escorted. That is what their defense against tacklers and the like should be.
If bigger is supposed to be better, then ships below BS should be removed from EVE and we can take out tactics and go with the simple egotistical play style of I > all of you. Since, according to the way I understand your reasoning:
Goliath should own David no matter what weapon or tactic David uses because Goliath is bigger.
Or in other words, donĘt play paper, scissors, rock; because rock is supposed to own all.
Choose your vessel to perform a function, not so that you can own all.
